Remove muffler outlet (20) from muffler (21).

Removal of the exhaust elbow group
Loosen clamp (22) and remove muffler (21) from exhaust elbow (23). Remove the bolts (24), (25), and (26). Remove the exhaust elbow.

New mounting arrangement and muffler
Install mounting (27). Use existing bolts (23) and (25) and use new bolt (17) instead of bolt (24). Install muffler (21) to mounting (27). Tighten clamp (20). Assemble outlet tube assembly (28) to muffler (21).

145-6835 Cover Plate
Remove 145-6835 Cover Plate (29) from the 142-0525 Transmission Cover . Remove 149-4563 Plate Assembly (30) .

Install transmission guard (31) .

Insert tube assembly (32) into tube assembly (33). Install the elbow of tube assembly (33) into the exhaust elbow group.

Install support plate (34). Use 2 bolts (35), 2 hard washers (36) and 2 nuts (37) .
Install bracket (38). Use 2 bolts (39), 4 hard washers (36), and 2 nuts (37) .

Assemble tube assembly (40) to joint (41). Install clamp assembly (42). Tighten clamp assembly (42) to a torque of 48 10 N m (35 7.5 lb ft).

Install the tube assembly with the joint between tube assembly (32) and mounting (28). Install clamp assemblies (42). Tighten clamp assemblies (42) to a torque of 48 10 N m (35 7.5 lb ft).

Install U-clamp assembly (43) with support (44). Install a second U-clamp assembly (43) around tube assembly (40) and through bracket (38). Do not tighten the nuts on the U-clamp assembly that is mounted to bracket (48) .

Assemble exhaust guard assembly (45) to support (44). Use 2 bolts (46), 4 washers (47) and 2 nuts (48). The front of the exhaust guard assembly is mounted to the U-clamp assembly that was installed in Step 14. Tighten U-clamp assembly (43) to a torque of 48 10 N m (35 7.5 lb ft).

Tighten clamp assembly (42) at the junction of tube assembly (33) and the exhaust elbow group. Tighten clamp assembly (42) to a torque of 48 10 N m (35 7.5 lb ft).Once the exhaust body arrangement is installed, start the engine and run the engine. Check the various components for leakage of exhaust gas.Remove the body prop and remove the steering frame locks.
