This diagnostic code is recorded when the implement electronic control module (ECM) determines that the signal for the Tilt Lever Position Sensor has an abnormal pulse width, abnormal frequency, or an abnormal period. The Tilt Lever Position Sensor is a pulse width modulated sensor.The output frequency of the position sensor is approximately 500 hertz. The duty cycle of the signal changes as the position sensor moves. The duty cycle varies from 5 to 95%.The possible causes for this diagnostic code are listed:
The wrong sensor has been installed.
The sensor has failed.
Intermittent connections or poor connections
Mechanical devices are loose.
The ECM has failed. This is unlikely.System Response:The machine response is listed:
The tilt function will not operate.
The tilt lever must be recentered before movement of the tilt function is allowed. The diagnostic code must also be cleared before movement of the tilt function is allowed.Note: The following test procedure may create other diagnostic codes. Ignore these created diagnostic codes and clear the diagnostic codes when the original diagnostic code has been corrected. Ensure that the diagnostic code of CID 0353 FMI 08 is active before performing this procedure.Test Step 1. CHECK FOR POWER AT THE SENSOR.
