HOSE AS 5041970 - Caterpillar

1. Remove bolt (1) and washer that hold breather assembly (2) in place.2. Remove bolt from clip on the water pump cover (not shown).3. Remove breather assembly (2) and tube as a unit.4. Disconnect wire (3) from the instrument panel. 5. Remove bolts (4) and lockwashers. Remove valve cover (5) and gasket.Install Valve Cover
1. Put 5H2471 Cement on the face of the valve cover (1) and the top side of the valve cover gasket. Put the valve cover in position on the cylinder head. Install the bolts and lockwashers that hold it in place. Tighten the bolts in number sequence to a torque of 96 24 lb.in. (10.9 2.8 N m). 2. Connect wire (4) to the instrument panel.3. Put seal (3) in position on the valve cover.4. Install the breather assembly (2) and tube. Tighten the bolt in breather assembly (2) to a torque of 120 24 lb.in. (13.6 2.8 N m).
