Information:

After releasing the hydraulic pressure of the Brake system, remove the hose fitting (2) from the elbow (4) .
Install the 8T-2352 Face Seal Tee and a pressure gauge between elbow (4) and hose fitting (2) .
Measure the brake hydraulic system pressure. System pressure should increase to the cutout pressure of 15000 100 kPa (2175 15 psi). Depressing the brake pedal should reduce system pressure to the cut-in pressure of 11500 600 kPa (1670 88 psi).Note: When you apply the brakes, a lack of pressurized oil can be a failure of the accumulator. The accumulator charging valve will cycle from the cutout to the cut-in with approximately 6 to 10 applications of the brake pedal. This cycling of the accumulator charging valve can be seen on the pressure gauge. If the accumulator charging valve cycles much with approximately 2 to 3 applications of the brake pedal and without leaks in the system, suspect that there is a failure in the accumulator. Possibly, the nitrogen charge is low or the bladder has burst. See Accumulator Testing and Charging.Note: The cutout pressure can be adjusted at the accumulator charging valve. The cut-in pressure can not be adjusted. The cut-in pressure follows the cutout pressure setting.

If cutout pressure requires adjustment, loosen adjusting screw locknut (6) on accumulator charging valve (7) .
Turn adjusting screw (5) clockwise in order to increase pressure. Turn adjusting screw (5) until system cutout pressure is correct. Tighten adjusting screw locknut (6) .
If the system cutout or cut-in pressure can not be set correctly, replace accumulator charging valve (7) .
Remove test equipment and install hose fitting (2) to elbow (4) .
Remove the air from the brake hydraulic system. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Brake System Air - Purge".Brake Cylinder Hydraulic Pressure
Sudden movement of the machine or release of oil under pressure can cause injury to persons on or near the machine. To prevent possible injury, perform the procedure that follows before testing and adjusting the hydraulic system.
Personal injury can result from hydraulic oil pressure and hot oil.Hydraulic oil pressure can remain in the hydraulic system after the engine has been stopped. Serious injury can be caused if this pressure is not released before any service is done on the hydraulic system.Make sure all of the attachments have been lowered, oil is cool before removing any components or lines. Remove the oil filler cap only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Note: Ensure that the brake hydraulic system pressure is correct before testing the
