Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or electrical components can cause a fire. To help prevent possible injury, turn the start switch off when changing fuel filters or water separator elements. Clean up fuel spills immediately.
Turn the fuel supply to the OFF position.

Use Tooling (A) in order to remove fuel filter (5). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Fuel System Primary Filter (Water Separator) Element - Replace".
Disconnect hose assembly (1) and hose assembly (3). Disconnect harness assemblies (2) and remove the connecting hardware.
Remove bolts (4) in order to remove priming pump (6). Installation Procedure
Install priming pump (6) and fuel filter (5) in the reverse order of removal.
