HOSE AS 5096068 - Caterpillar

1. Remove bolt (1) that fastens clip (3) and lubrication line to front support. Disconnect lubrication line (2) from fitting at top of front support. 2. Remove bolt that fastens clip and lubrication line to rear support. Disconnect lubrication line (4) from fitting at top of rear support. 3. Disconnect hose assembly (5) from block (6) at top of rear support. 4. Fasten cables and a hoist to the rear axle housing. Put tension on the cables. Remove six bolts and nuts (8) from the rear support, then remove four bolts and nuts from the front support.5. Lower rear axle housing (7) to the floor or ground, then remove axle housing from under the machine. Weight of the axle housing is 4400 lb. (1980 kg).Install Rear Axle Housing (825C, 826C)
1. Fasten cables and a hoist to the rear axle housing (1). Put rear axle housing in position under the machine. Install the bolts and nuts that hold the front and rear supports to the machine frame. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 840 75 lb.ft. (1140 100 N m). 2. Connect hose assembly (2) to block (3) at the top of the rear support. 3. Connect lubrication line (4) to fitting at the top of the rear support. Fasten lubrication line and clip to the rear support with the bolt that holds it. 4. Connect lubrication line (5) to fitting at the front support. Fasten lubrication line and clip (6) to the front support with the bolt that holds it.end by:a) install engine crankcase guards *b) install rear drive shaftc) install rear wheels*This operation location is in the ENGINE DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY section.
