The filters are installed on the top of the hydraulic oil tank. The deck plates on the operator platform provide access to these components.The housing of the combined suction and return filter (1) contains S O S port (3). The housing of the return filter contains pressure gauge (4) that indicates the pressure differential across the return filter. Both filters contain bypass valves. If the pressure differential across return filter (2) is greater than 170 kPa (25 psi), the bypass valve opens. When the bypass valve opens, return oil flows directly into the hydraulic tank.Oil from the cooler bypass manifold is directed to the combined suction and return filter (1). If the pressure differential across the suction and return filter is greater than 250 kPa (36 psi), the bypass valve opens. When the bypass valve opens, oil flows directly into the hydraulic tank. Suction lines for the charge pumps in the right and left propel systems draw oil from the outlet side of the combined suction and return filter.
