Open the engine compartment.

Turn the valve (1) in a counterclockwise direction. Drain the fuel into a suitable container.Note: Dispose of the waste in a proper manner.
Close the valve (1) .
Hold the bowl (5) while you loosen the collar (4). Remove the bowl (5) and the collar (5) .

Loosen the collar (2). Remove the element (3). Discard the element in a proper manner.
Clean the parts. Inspect the parts for damage. Replace the damaged parts or replace the worn parts.
Install a new element. Tighten the collar (2) .
Install the bowl (5) and tighten the collar (4) .
Start the engine and check the fuel system for leaks.
Close the engine compartment.
