Personal injury or death can result from sudden machine movement.The machine can move suddenly in the forward or reverse direction when adjustments are made to the drive system.To avoid machine movement, make sure that the machine is completely raised off of the ground and properly supported.Make sure that the area is clear of personnel and equipment while testing and adjusting.
Move the machine to a smooth, horizontal location that is away from operating machines and away from personnel.
Engage the parking brake. Place blocks around the front wheels.
Lower the suspension system (if equipped).
Place the rear of the machine on jack stands so that the wheels are not in contact with the ground. Place one jack stand on each side of the machine at the rear of the machine under the frame.
Start the engine and release the parking brake.
Place the direction and speed control lever in NEUTRAL.
With the help of an assistant, rotate one wheel in the forward direction. The wheels on the opposite side should rotate in the reverse direction.
Engage the differential lock.Note: Hold the differential lock switch down in order to keep the differential lock engaged.
With the help of an assistant, rotate one wheel in the forward direction. The wheels on the opposite side should rotate in the same direction.
