HOSE 5299529 - Caterpillar

Note: Remove bolts (16) and position retainer cup (14). Refer to Illustration 10 for the correct position for retainer cup (14). Position ether starting valve (3) so port (15) is approximately 45° to plate (5). This will minimize distortion of the tube assembly between the ether starting valve and the air intake elbow. Install bolts (16) in bracket (17) .
Install ether starting valve (3), bolts (9), hard washers (10), clips (6), and nuts (7) on plate (5) .

Install ether atomizer (2) on tube (12) .

Install O-ring seal (8) on plug (11) .
Install plug (11) on ether atomizer (2) .

Use the existing hardware (19) in order to install the ether starting aid.

(11) Plug (21) Air inlet elbow
Remove the existing plug from air inlet elbow (21).
Install plug (11) in air inlet elbow (21). Align the ether starting valve in order to minimize distortion of the tube assembly between the ether starting valve and the air intake elbow.

Install ether atomizer (2) in air inlet elbow (21) .
Align arrow (22) and hole (23) on ether atomizer (2) in order to point against the direction of air flow (24) .
Tighten the hardware that secures the ether starting aid to the plate.
