Start By:a. remove radiator and radiator guardb. remove main drive shaftc. remove auxiliary drive shaft 1. Drain all necessary coolants and lubricants.
Always wear goggles when working on air conditioning systems. The system is under pressure at all times, engine running or not. ESCAPING Freon-12 (C C12 F2 Dichloro Difluoro Methane) CAN CAUSE FREEZING OF HUMAN FLESH.DO NOT SMOKE WHILE WORKING ON AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS. Inhaling Freon-12 through any smoking material, although not toxic or flammable, can generate phosgene gas and cause violent illness. ALSO, HEAT MUST NEVER BE APPLIED TO A CHARGED SYSTEM. See Air Conditioning And Heating Service Manual, Form No. SENR3334 for more information on removal and installation of lines and refrigerant from the system.
2. Remove plate (2) and disconnect air conditioning lines (1). 3. Remove bolts (4) and (5). Remove air cleaner and elbow (3). 4. Remove elbow (10) and clip (9).5. Remove clips (8).6. Remove air conditioning line (7).7. Remove panel (6). 8. Disconnect heater hoses (11) and lay them to one side. 9. Disconnect line (14) and remove elbow (15).10. Remove fumes disposal hose (13).11. Cut strap holding wire (12). 12. Disconnect fuel lines (14) and (15) from the fuel filter and fuel injection pump housing. 13. Disconnect governor linkage (17) at both locations. Disconnect all the wires (16) from the starter. 14. Disconnect wiring harnesses (18). Remove tie straps (19). 15. Disconnect wires (20) from their solenoids. 16. Disconnect wiring harnesses (21). 17. Disconnect hose (24). Remove strap (22) and clips (23). 18. Disconnect lines (25) and (26). Remove line (27). 19. Disconnect tube (28). Remove lines (29) and (30). 20. Disconnect hoses (31). Disconnect wiring harness (33) and remove strap (32). 21. Fasten tooling (A) and a hoist to the engine and torque divider assembly. 22. Remove rear engine mounts (34). 23. Remove mounting bolts (35) from the front engine support.24. Remove engine and torque divider as a unit from the machine. Weight of the unit is approximately 2340 Kg (5200 lb.).
