Installation Procedure
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Ensure that the heat exchanger is clean and free from restriction. Ensure that the heat exchanger is free from wear or damage. If necessary, replace any components that are worn or damaged.

Install a new washer (2) and a new washer (4) to plug (1) and plug (5). Install the plugs to heat exchanger (3). Tighten plug (1) and plug (5) to a torque of 22 N m (16 lb ft).

Attach a suitable lifting device to heat exchanger (3). The weight of heat exchanger (3) is approximately 17 kg (38 lb).
Position heat exchanger (3) on the mounting bracket and install bolts (14). Note: The heat exchanger should be supported until the bolts have been installed.
Tighten bolts (14) to a torque of 44 N m (33 lb ft).
Install tube assembly (12) to the water pump inlet and heat exchanger (3). Tighten hose clamp (10), hose clamp (3) and hose clamp (13) securely.
Install tube assembly (6) to heat exchanger (3) and the water temperature regulator. Tighten hose clamps (7) securely.
Install hose to heat exchanger (9) and the aftercooler. Tighten hose clamps (8) securely.
Connect hose (16) to heat exchanger (3). Tighten hose clamps (15) securely.
Refill the cooling system with coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change" for the correct procedure.
Turn the drain valve for the sea water circuit to the ON position.
