Install seals (10) into sleeve assembly (9). Apply clean hydraulic oil into seals (10).

Use a suitable lifting device to reposition the head assembly as shown. Refer to Table 2 for the approximate weight of the head assembly. Apply clean hydraulic oil to seals before installing sleeve assembly (9) into the head assembly.

Install piston (8).

Apply clean hydraulic oil to the seals. Install internal seals (7). Install external seals (6) into seal carrier (5).

Install seal carrier (5) on the head assembly.

Install valve body (4).Note: Make sure valve body (4) is seated against the head before bolts (3) are installed. Damage may occur if Tooling (A) gets into the head assembly.
Apply Tooling (D) to the shoulder of bolts (3). Install bolts (3). Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of 100 N m (74 lb ft) in a cross pattern. Tighten bolts (3) in a cross pattern to a final torque of 240 N m (177 lb ft).

Install plug (2) and the O-ring seal. Charge the low-pressure valve body. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Charging the Valve Body with Nitrogen (Low Pressure)" for the correct charging procedure.

Install the hydraulic hammer.
