Mapping/Recording
The system features a new operator visible configuration menu item called "Mapping/Recording".The new "Mapping/Recording" menu item was previously called "Map Recording" and was only visible to the operator when using a soil compactor system. The new "Mapping/Recording" is now visible for all machine types. The new "Mapping/Recording" menu item allows the operator set mapping specific functions as required for the current job or environment.Using "Mapping/Recording"
Select "Mapping/Recording" and press "OK".
Illustration 2 g02559478
Edit the "Required Passes" field as required.Required passes - The number of passes that must be made over the surface. The maximum number of passes that can be set is 20.
To toggle the mapping status, press the "Mapping:<value>" key located second from the bottom on the right side of the screen. The options are "Mapping:Auto", "Mapping:On", and "Mapping:Off". Refer to Illustration 2.
Press OK to confirm the settings, or the return key to exit without saving.Note: Map recording is intended to provide guidance to the operator, not to record detailed terrain and attribute information. A map recording .cat file stores a snapshot of the map displayed on the CB460 Grade Control display. This file simply records a numerical value correlating to cut/fill colors for whether the guidance value were within cut/fill tolerance of grade. Green is within tolerance, Red is outside of tolerance requiring a cut, and Blue is outside of tolerance requiring a fill. Use the "Date Recording for Office" feature for more detailed recording of detailed surface and terrain features rather than the map recording .cat file.Note: No warning is given if mapping is on and data recording for the office is turned off. Ask your site supervisor to turn on production reporting if needed.Map Recording Status Bar Icon
