This Program can only be administered after a failure occurs.The decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS51808" as the Part Numberand "7755" as the Group Number. Use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
The information supplied in this service letter may not be valid after the termination date of this program.Do not perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the termination date without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst.
This Revised Service Letter replaces the 18Feb2010 Service Letter. Changes have been made to the Affected Product and Action Required.

PROBLEM
The existing 8T4185 Fan Drive Bolt may fail on certain 773F and 775F Off-Highway Trucks. Installing a new 3081528/">308-1528 Bolt will help prevent repeat failures that result in unscheduled downtime.

ACTION REQUIRED
Replace the failed 8T4185 Bolt, part of (265-8058) Fan Drive Gp, with an improved 3081528/">308-1528 Bolt. Reference RENR8278 Fan Drive Removal and Installation. See Item 43 in the Image 1 below.
The Standard Torque of 55 +/- 10 N-m on the retaining bolt is critical. Over or under torque may lead to premature failures of the bolt.
