Note: This test will check the pressures of the following systems:
Service brake pressure at the wheel brakes when the retarder control lever is moved to the full ON position.
Service brake pressure at the wheel brakes when the service brake pedal is moved to the full ON position.
Install the steering frame lock. Engage the parking brake and stop the engine.

(1) Pressure tap for the service brake and retarder section of the right front wheel brake (2) Pressure tap for the service brake and retarder section of the left front wheel brake
Connect a hose assembly with an 8T-0857 Pressure Gauge (0 to 10,000 kPa (0 to 1450 psi)) to pressure tap (1) or pressure tap (2) . Pressure tap (1) and pressure tap (2) are located on the remote purge manifold. The remote purge manifold for the front wheel brakes is located in the articulating hitch area of the front frame.

Connect a hose assembly with an 8T-0857 Pressure Gauge (0 to 10,000 kPa (0 to 1450 psi)) to pressure tap (3) or pressure tap (4) . Pressure tap (3) and pressure tap (4) are located on the remote purge manifolds for each of the rear wheel brakes.
Start the engine. Operate the engine at the low idle rpm.Note: Allow enough time to pass in order to make sure that the service brake accumulators are fully charged.
Move the retarder control lever to the full ON position.
Observe the pressure gauges. Make sure that the oil is at normal operating temperature. The pressure reading on the gauge for the front brakes should be 2415 345 kPa (350 50 psi). The pressure reading on the gauge for the rear brakes should be 2760 345 kPa (400 50 psi).Note: The pressure at the rear brakes should be approximately 345 to 690 kPa (50 to 100 psi) higher than the pressure at the front brakes.
Move the retarder control lever to the OFF position.
Depress and hold the service brake pedal in the full ON position.
Observe the pressure gauges. The pressure reading on the gauges with the oil at normal operating temperature should be 5757 345 kPa (835 50 psi).
Stop the engine. Remove the test equipment. Place the protective covers on the pressure
