VIMS and Telematic components connections Test Step 1. CHECK THE VIMSTM AND TELEMATIC COMPONENT SOFTWARE VERSIONS With Cat® Electronic Technician (Cat ET), check the VIMS and Telematic software versions.

Check "Software Group" for VIMS info.
Check "Telematic Device Software" for telematic info.Expected Result:The software is the latest version.Results:
OK - The software is the latest version. Proceed to Test Step 2.
NOT OK - The software is not the latest version.Repair: Update "VIMS" to the latest software version. Clear the diagnostic code.STOPTest Step 2. REPLACE THE PL522 OR 523
