Swing Piston Pump (1) Line for swing signal pressure
Use an 8T-8902 Tee, 6V-3965 Nipple Assembly and a 3J-1907 O-Ring Seal to assemble a test tee. Install the assembled tee into line (1) on the swing piston pump. Install sufficient 6V-3079 hoses onto the nipple in order to allow a pressure gauge to be hand-held by the machine operator. Install a 4000 kPa (580 psi) pressure gauge and a 6V-3965 Nipple onto the hose.

Swing Piston Pump (2) "M1" port
Install a 6V-3965 Nipple in the "M1" port (2) on the swing piston pump. Install sufficient 6V-3079 hoses onto the nipple in order to allow a pressure gauge to be hand-held by the machine operator. Install a 6V-7830 Tetragauge and a 6V-3965 Nipple onto the hose.
Start the engine.
Warm the oil to a minimum temperature of 50 °C (122 °F). Refer to the Testing and Adjusting, "General Information" for the proper procedure for warming the hydraulic oil.
Set the throttle switch to position 10.
Position the bucket in the full open dump position. Stick OUT and the boom DOWN until the teeth are approximately 150 mm (6 inch) off the ground.
Reduce the engine speed to throttle position 1.
Record the reading on the pressure gauge for the "M1" pressure before moving the swing control.
Watch the bucket teeth and slowly actuate the swing control to the left or right. Record the following information:
Record the reading on the pressure gauge for the swing signal pressure when the bucket just begins to move. This pressure is the swing actuation pressure. The swing actuation pressure should be 880 100 kPa (125 15 psi).
Record the reading on the pressure gauge for the swing signal pressure when the reading on the pressure gauge for the "M1" pressure begins to increase. The reading on the pressure gauge for the "M1"pressure should begin to increase when the swing actuation pressure is 880 35 kPa (125 5 psi).Note: If the machine is sitting on a slope, you will get different swing actuation pressures while the machine swings to the left and right. This will even occur on a small slope. If this occurs, check the actuation pressures with the machine in four positions: facing forward and swinging left, facing forward and swinging right, facing to the rear and swinging left and facing to the rear and swinging right. The average of the two swing actuation pressures while facing forward and swinging to the left and right should be 880 100 kPa (125 15 psi). The average of the two swing actuation pressures while facing to the rear and swinging to the left and right should be 880 100 kPa (125 15 psi).
