Washdown switch (2) and washdown indicator (3) are located on the right screed operator station control panel on non-tamper screeds.Control panel (1) which is located at the center of a tamper equipped screed operator station is equipped with washdown switch (2) and washdown indicator (3) .Washdown switch (2) is a momentary toggle switch with two positions. The switch is spring returned to the DOWN position. When the switch is in the DOWN position, the contacts are open. The switch energizes or de-energizes the washdown relay, depending on the current state of the relay.Washdown indicator (3) is illuminated while the washdown pump is operating.
