HOSE ASSEM. 5V1444 - Caterpillar

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Note: Put identification marks on all hoses, on all hose assemblies, on all wires, and on all tube assemblies for installation purposes. Plug all hose assemblies and all tube assemblies.
Thoroughly wash the machine to remove any dirt or debris near the gear pump (steer/charge) and under the platform.
Park the machine on a solid, level surface. Park the machine so that front drum and rear drum are aligned straight.
Place the propel lever in Neutral.
Engage the parking brake.
Stop the engine.
Turn the disconnect switch to the OFF position.Removal of Existing Parts

Disconnect hose assembly (2) from elbow fitting (1) located above the top step on the right side of the machine.

Standard hitch shown with 220-6350 Hose Assembly (5). Machines with the drum offset hitch use 188-2019 Hose Assembly and will have a different routing.
Disconnect hose assembly (5) from elbow fitting (4) .
Disconnect elbow fitting (4) and fitting (3) from the gear pump.
Disconnect hose assembly (9) and hydraulic fitting (8) from the gear pump.
Disconnect hose assembly (2) from adapter fitting (7). Remove hose assembly (2) from the existing clamps.
Remove adapter fitting (7), tee fitting (6), the pressure tap, and the dust cap from the gear pump.Note: Discard all of the O-ring seals, hose assembly (2), adapter fitting (7), and tee fitting (6) .
Remove the pressure tap and the dust cap from tee fitting (6) .Installation of New Parts

Install O-ring seal (13) to the pressure tap. Install the pressure tap and the dust cap to new tee fitting (12). Install O-ring seals (13) and (15) to tee fitting (12). Connect tee fitting (12) to the gear pump.
Route hose assembly (10) through the existing clamps. Connect hose assembly (10) to new tee fitting (12). Install O-ring seal (16) to elbow fitting (1). Connect hose assembly (10) to elbow fitting (1) Note: Tighten the clamps after both ends of hose assembly (10) are connected. Ensure that there
