PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
1. Isolate the generator set before commencing any work on the unit, open the generator set breaker, activate the emergency stop, disconnect the auxiliary power supply for the battery charger and the heaters, and disconnect the battery cables. Ensure health and safety requirements are adhered to at all times. Also ensure proper Lock Out-Tag Out procedures are followed at all times while work is being performed on the generator set. Lock out the generator set before commencing any type of work.
2. Cut crimp clamp (3). Disconnect the fuel lines for supply (1) and return (2). Refer to Image 1.2.1. Care must be taken to contain any residual diesel that may be in the fuel lines.

3. Remove and retain two hose connectors (4) from the fuel standpipes. Remove any sealant applied in production prior to reuse.
Remove two fuel standpipes (5) from the tank base and discard. Ensure that no debris enters the fuel tank.
4. Apply Loctite 577 to the threads on the two 365-5562 Fuel Pipes prior to fitting the fuel ports for the supply and return on the tank base.
5. Apply Loctite 577 to the two hose connectors (4) from Step 3. Install the two hose connectors on the two fuel standpipes.
6. Using a 262-0490 Worm Drive Clamp, install and secure the fuel line for supply (1) to hose connector (4) on the standpipe. Using a 262-0490 Worm Drive Clamp, install and secure the fuel line for return (2) to hose connector (4) on the standpipe.
7. Clear generator area, deactivate the emergency stop. Reconnect the auxiliary power supply for the battery charger and the heaters, and reconnect the battery cables.
8. Run a functional test on the generator set.
