Removal Procedure
Disconnect batteries before performance of any service work.
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.Note: Put identification marks on all lines, on all hoses, on all wires, and on all tubes for installation purposes. Plug all lines, hoses, and tubes. This helps to prevent fluid loss and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.
Disconnect the battery.
Lower the middle and the rear bottom guards.

Remove cable assemblies (1) and (2) from electric starting motor (3). Remove nut (4) and remove cover (5) .

Remove wires (6) and (7) .

Remove mounting bolts (8) and remove electric starting motor (3). The weight of electric starting motor (3) is approximately 29 kg (64 lb).Installation Procedure
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Install electric starting motor (3) to the original location. Install mounting bolts (8). The weight of electric starting motor (3) is approximately 29 kg (64 lb).

Install wires (6) and (7) .

Install nut (4) and install cover (5). Install cable assemblies (1) and (2) on electric starting motor (3) .
Raise the middle and the rear bottom guards.
Connect the battery.
