If leaking occurs from the 372-5325 Tube As (A) or 369-6876 Tee As (B), remove and replace with the following parts and procedures. Refer to Illustration 1.
Remove the 8M-2770 Clip (D), retaining the hardware, and the 372-5325 Tube As (A). Remove the 369-6876 Tee As (B) fitting by breaking off the tee from the steering manifold.Note: In step 2, the 369-6876 Tee As (B) can be broken by placing a box wrench between the fitting and manifold, prying outward against the fitting. The tee assembly can be removed this way without removing the steering manifold located behind the adapter. The remaining threaded portion of the tee assembly will extend far enough for removal and the threads in the manifold casting will not be damaged. Refer to Illustration 1.
Remove and retain for reissue the following parts from the 369-6876 Tee As (B), the 165-4931 Elbow As (45 degree) (F), and the 164-5567 Quick Disconnect Coupler As and dust cap (E). Refer to Illustration 1
Install 148-8316 Connector As (H) (built with 6V-8647 Connector (7), 3J-7354 O-Ring Seal (3), and 4J-5477 O-Ring Seal (4) ). Install 166-2033 Tee As (J) (built with 7X-2444 Swivel Tee (8) and 4J-5477 O-Ring Seal (4) ) in the steering valve load sense port. Refer to Illustration 2.
Reuse 165-4931 Elbow As (F) by replacing 3J-1907 O-Ring Seal (2). Reuse 164-5567 Quick Disconnect Coupler As and 6V-0852 Dust Cap (E) and orient the pressure tap for access to the left-hand side of the machine. Refer to Illustration 2.
Install 434-3185 Hose As with the 124-2140 Permanent Coupling (K) oriented towards the valve and the 154-0095 Permanent Coupling (L) towards the pump. Refer to Illustration 2.
Attach the 124-2140 Permanent Coupling (K) to the 166-2033 Tee As (J) mounted to the steering valve. Refer to Illustration 2.
Attach the 154-0095 Permanent Coupling (L) to the existing 164-5624 Elbow As (G). Replace both seals with 6V-8398 O-Ring Seal (6) and 3J-1907 O-Ring Seal (2) with the same new seals for the 164-5624 Elbow As (G). Attach to the pump port. Refer to Illustration 2.
Clamp hose with 5P-9299 Clip (5) reusing hardware from the previously removed loop clip. Standard torques for all fittings. Refer to Illustration 2.The new installation process with new adapter, tee, and hose assemblies are adaptable in production to the following machines:
