Introduction
The Special Instruction contains information to replace the existing right front mudguard that provides protection to the optional service center box with a larger mudguard. The improved mudguard will provide better coverage from debris for the optional service center box.Do not perform any procedure in this Special Instruction until you have read the information and you understand the information.Safety Section

Remove bolts and washers (A) to remove existing mudguard assembly and mounting bracket from the right-hand stairway and discard.Note: Access bolts from the steps side.
Clean the mounting surface under the stairway of any dirt or debris.

Install plate assembly (1) to the stairway using two washers (2) and two bolts (3).

Attach guard (4) to the plate assembly using three plates (5), six washers (6), and six bolts (3).
