HOSE AS 7T9323 - Caterpillar

1. Use tool (A) to remove oil filter (1) from the oil filter base. 2. Remove bolts (3) and oil filter base (2) from the engine block. 3. Remove plug (6), spring (4) and the valve from oil filter base (2). Check the condition of the O-ring seal on plug (6). If necessary, make a replacement.4. If necessary, remove stud (5) from the oil filter base.Install Oil Filter Base
1. If the stud was removed from the oil filter base, put 9S3263 Thread Lock only on the threaded end of stud (1) that is to be installed into the oil filter base.2. Install stud (1) in the oil filter base, and tighten it to a torque of 68 7 N m (50 5 lb. ft.).3. Install O-ring (5) on plug (3).4. Install valve (4), spring (2) and plug (3) in the oil filter base. 5. Install O-ring seal (7) on oil filter base (6).6. Put oil filter base (6) in position on the engine block, and install the bolts that hold it. 7. Install oil filter (8). Follow the instructions on the filter. See the Maintenance Guide for the correct service intervals.
