Introduction
The problem that is identified below has a permanent solution that was made in the factory for products manufactured after May 2008. Use the solution that is identified below in order to fix any iron that has already been shipped, loose links, assemblies or track groups.Problem
The pin end (threaded end) of some master links may have an extension of forged material that may restrict the correct fit of the master links.Solution
After the master links are connected on all current master links and before you install the bolts for the master links, make sure that there is no contact between the halves for the master links in the area that is shown in Illustration 1. If the end of the threaded half master link makes contact with the mating half of the master link, then grind the end of the threaded half master link in order to create clearance. Refer to Illustration 2.
