332-1508 Liquid Detector Gp
This change is effective on 3June 2009. The new 332-1508 Liquid Detector Gp replaces the 121-0597 Liquid Detector Gp in the above 3600 and C280 Engines. The 121-0597 Liquid Detector Gp is not cancelled.The new detector can be used as a service replacement for the original detector.The 121-0597 Liquid Detector Gp has a four-wire connector and the new 332-1508 Liquid Detector Gp has a three-wire connector. To replace the original detector with the new detector, the original connector on the engine wiring harness must be replaced with a new connector.Wiring the New Detector

Before you cut the wires from the connector, mark the wires for identification on the harness side of the connector. The terminals and the functions are identified in Table 2.

Cut the wires directly behind the old harness connector. Strip the insulation from the wires to an appropriate length. Install a 9X-3402 Connector Socket on each of the three wires.
Install the wiring into the 169-8670 Connector Plug As according to the terminals that are identified in Table 2.
Remove the older 121-0597 Liquid Detector Gp. Install the new 332-1508 Liquid Detector Gp. Tighten the detector to a torque of 22 3 N m (16 2 lb ft).
Connect the detector to the wiring harness.
