This Special Instruction provides the rework procedure for converting 165-1592 Ignition Transformer Gp into the 213-7444 Transformer .Do not perform any procedure that is outlined in this Special Instruction until the entire Special Instruction has been read and understood.Required Materials
A 214-6131 Ignition Conversion Gp contains the parts that are required to complete this rework procedure.

Remove terminal (9) with the 132-8263 Spanner Wrench .
Tighten insulator (8) in the jaws of a bench vise.
Rotate transformer (4) back and forth in order to remove the transformer from the insulator. Discard the insulator and the O-ring seals (10) and (5) .
Remove screws (1) and lockwashers (2) from transformer spring (3). Remove the transformer spring.
Use a press to install the insulator (11). Press the insulator into the transformer until the insulator is fully seated.

Locating tab
Reinstall the transformer spring with the screws and the lockwashers. Ensure that the locating tab is located over the connector. Tighten the screws to 2.0 0.5 N m (18 4 lb in).
Install terminal (12) with the spanner wrench. Tighten the terminal to 2.70 0.25 N m (24 2 lb in). Do not overtighten the terminal.
Install new O-ring (10) in the insulator.
Remove seal (7) and discard the seal. Install the new seal that was provided in the kit.
