This Program must be administered either before or after failure.In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS43726" as the Part Numberand "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description code.If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

PROBLEM
The existing check valve can allow fuel pressure to remain in the head once the engine is shut off which may allow some fuel to leak from the injectors on certain C13 On-Highway Engines in fire truck applications. Pressurized fuel leaking from the injector can in some light load application cause an increase percentage of fuel seen in oil samples which reduces the oil viscosity.

ACTION REQUIRED
If oil fuel dilution is suspected, determine if an excessive amount of fuel is present in the oil by reviewing the customer's oil sample report. If the oil viscosity is below 11.0 centistokes at 100 degrees C with 15w-40 oil and the oil has less than 300 hours of use, file the claim as after failure. If these criteria are not met, file the claim as before failure.
1. Get an ECM download and update into SIMS.
2. Attach the oil sample report to the claim in SIMS, if after failure.
