PROBLEM
The existing 2276034/">227-6034 Bolts that hold the final drive coupling gear may loosen on certain 320C Excavators. The torque needs to be checked on the existing 2276034/">227-6034 Bolt in order to prevent extensive damage to the final drive.

ACTION REQUIRED
Refer to Disassembly and Assembly Manual, RENR3826, for the final drive disassembly and assembly.
1. All 2276034/">227-6034 Bolts that hold the final drive coupling gear need to be inspected
to verify that the bolts are tightened to the correct torque of 270 +/- 40 Nm
(230 +/- 30 lb ft).
2. If one or more bolts are tightened to a torque below 230 Nm (200 lb ft), all
2276034/">227-6034 Bolts must be replaced with new bolts. Apply sealant to thread (Loctite
Product 242) and tighten the bolts to the torque of 270 +/- 40 Nm
(230 +/- 30 lb ft).
