Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.
Start By:
Remove the cab support.

Disconnect nitrogen oxide sensor assemblies (1).

Remove bolts (4) and nitrogen oxide sensor assembly (2).
Disconnect temperature sensors (3).

Cut cable strap (5) and reposition the harness assembly.

Disconnect harness assembly (6) and hose assemblies (7).

Remove bolt (8) and reposition the hose assemblies.

Loosen clamp (10) and reposition tube (9).

Attach a suitable lifting device to clean emission module (12). The weight of clean emission module (12) is approximately 79 kg (175 lb).
Remove bolts (13) and clean emissions module (12).Installation Procedure
Install clean emissions module (12) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten temperature sensors (3) to a torque of 45 5 N m (33 3 lb ft).
Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of nitrogen oxide sensors (2) and (1).
Tighten nitrogen oxide sensor assemblies (2) and (1) to a torque of 50 10 N m (37 7 lb ft).
