Transmission Range Selector
The machine must be stopped, and the engine at low idle, when changing direction.
Forward (1.) - The transmission will shift automatically between 2nd and any other speed (3rd through 8th) selected in the automatic range.Manual shifting is not recommended during normal operation cycles.First speed is selected manually.Select the highest of the eight forward speeds that is practical for your application. Neutral (2.) - Move the lever to NEUTRAL when parking the machine, or when starting the engine. Reverse (3.) - For REVERSE, move the lever to the FRONT of the console.Transmission Neutral Lock
Locked - Move the range selector to NEUTRAL. Push the lever DOWN and move it to the LEFT to LOCK the transmission in NEUTRAL. Unlocked - Push the lever DOWN and move it to the RIGHT to UNLOCK the transmission range selector.Transmission Hold Pedal
Engage - Push the pedal DOWN. The transmissions will not shift. Release - Release the pedal. The transmissions will shift normally.Differential Lock Pedal
Do not attempt to turn the machine with the differential lock applied. With the differential lock applied the machine cannot be turned.
To prevent damage to the differential, do not engage the differential lock at high speeds.Do not engage the differential lock with one wheel spinning. Decrease engine rpm until the wheels stop spinning. Anticipate using differential lock before wheel slippage occurs.In high resistance areas, it may be necessary to turn the machine slightly or decrease engine rpm to aid in unlocking the differential lock.
Lock - Push the pedal DOWN to LOCK the differential. This will help prevent wheel slippage. Use it when loading or on soft or wet ground. Unlock - Release the pedal to UNLOCK the differential.Turning the machine slightly or decreasing rpm momentarily may be necessary to aid in unlocking.Cushion Hitch and Bail Control
Be sure the cushion hitch and bail areas are clear of personnel before operating the control.When parking the machine, and before starting the engine, be sure the control is in the BAIL DOWN-LOCK DOWN position.
1. Bail Down-Lock Down - The push-pull bail is lowered and the cushion hitch is locked in the down position. 2. Bail Up-Lock Down - The bail is raised and the cushion hitch is locked down. 3. Bail Up-Cushion Ride - The bail is raised and the hitch is cushioned to provide a better ride. Machines without the push-pull attachment have a two-position lever. The FORWARD position LOCKS the hitch down. The REAR position provides cushion ride.
