In the aftercooler groups, 9S-3263 Thread Lock Compound is applied to bolts (2) that fasten the housings to the cylinder block. Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 50 10 N m (37 7 lb ft). See Illustration 3.
--------------- END SUPPLEMENT ---------------Description of Change: A new stronger gasket is used in the aftercooler groups, cover groups, and water lines groups on the above engines. The new gasket will help prevent coolant leaks. See Item 1 in Illustrations 1,2 and 3. In the aftercooler groups, 8T-9013 RTV Silicone Sealant (RED) is applied to the bolts (2) that fasten the housings to the cylinder block. Tighten bolt (2) to a torque of 27 N m (20 lb ft). See Illustration 3.
