Remove Transmission Hydraulic Control Valves
1. Fasten a hoist and remove the hood over the transmission. Weight is 77 lb. (35 kg). 2. Disconnect tube (2) from the air cleaner indicator. Remove bracket (1) from cover (3).3. Disconnect three oil lines (4) from the fitting on cover (3). Remove cover (3) from the transmission housing. 4. Remove 20 bolts and washers (5). Remove pressure control valve (6). 5. Remove plate (7). 6. Remove manifold (8). 7. Remove selector valve (9). 8. Remove four bolts (12) that hold priority valve (11) in place.9. Lift the priority valve approximately 1/8 in. (3.0 mm) and slide it toward the front of the machine until it is clear of the three sleeves at the rear of the valve. Then slide the valve toward the left side of the machine until it is clear of sleeve (10). Remove the priority valve.Install Transmission Hydraulic Control Valves
1. Be sure the O-ring seals are in place on sleeve (1), three sleeves (2) and clutch housing (3). Put clean oil on the O-ring seals. 2. Put priority valve (4) in the transmission housing. First slide the valve on to sleeve (1) then on to three sleeves (2). Install the four bolts that hold the valve in place. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 35 3 lb.ft. (45 4 N m). 3. Install selector valve (6) as shown. Be sure the two valve spool links are engaged with lever (5). 4. Install manifold (7) as shown. 5. Install plate (8) as shown. 6. Install pressure control valve (9) and 20 bolts and washers (10) as shown. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 264 36 lb.in. (29.9 4.1 N m) in three even steps. Start to tighten the bolts in the center of the valve and move to the outside of the valve in a circle. 7. Put the transmission controls in "NEUTRAL" [detent (11) in position "N" of cam (12)]. Make an adjustment to the linkage of valve spools (13) so the opposite end of the spools are even with face "X" of selector valve (6). Tighten the locknuts on the links to a torque of 25 5 lb.ft. (35 7 N m). 8. Put cover (16) in position on the transmission and install the bolts and washers that hold it in place.9. Connect three oil lines (17) in the fitting on cover (16).10. Connect tube (15) to the air cleaner indicator. Put bracket (14) in position on cover (16) and install the bolt that holds it in place.11.
