Set the engine speed dial to "10".
Lower the left console.
Position the machine on level ground. Check the visibility and adjust the mirrors for the best vision close to the machine.
Fully depress the service brake pedal until the service brake pedal locks mechanically.
Increase the hydraulic oil temperature to 46° to 60° C (115° to 140° F).
Lower the rail axles in order that all tires are fully off the ground, and shunt the road mode.Note: All tires must be fully off the ground.
Fully extend the bucket cylinder and place the bucket on the ground.
Stop the engine.
Release the pressure in the hydraulic system.Note: Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "System Pressure - Release".
Raise the left console.

Connect tooling (E) to the service connector.
Start the engine.

Set the engine speed dial at "10".

Automatic Engine Speed Control (AESC) as displayed on the programmable function key in the monitor.
Disable the automatic engine speed control through the monitor by pressing the programmable button.

Joystick (front switch)
Disable the hydraulic modulation control, if equipped. Press the front switch on the right joystick to deactivate hydraulic modulation.
Ensure that the air conditioning is turned off for the following test.

Push down on the transmission control button to select Second GEAR.Note: The first indicator light will illuminate when the transmission is in second GEAR.

Push down on the creeper speed control button to activate the creeper speed control.Note: The indicator light will be illuminated when the creeper speed control is activated.Test Procedure

Release the service brake pedal.
Fully depress the travel pedal.
Start the Electronic Technician
Select the Machine ECM and then elect “OK”.
Select “Diagnostics” from the main menu.
Select “Diagnostic Tests”.
Select “Override Parameters”.

Select “Travel Pilot Solenoid Current Override” (3) and set the current to 0.8 amp.
Select "Main Pump Power Shift Solenoid Current" and set the current to 0 amp.
Select "Travel Motor Swash Plate Angle Limit Solenoid Current Override" and set the current to 0.8 amp.
Press the travel pedal to the full Forward position.
Verify the engine speed and transmission output speed in Cat ET, and compare to Table 1.
If the transmission output speed is not within tolerances, then adjust minimum displacement. Refer to Section "Adjustment Procedure".Adjustment Procedure
