PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
1. Unhook the cable assembly from the hood latch assembly. Refer to Image1.1.1.

2. Remove the two screws that attach the latch assembly to the frame. Refer to Image1.2.1.

3. Remove two 7X-2537 Hex Head Bolts and separate the bracket from the latch. Refer to Image1.3.1.

4. Install the existing latch to the new 417-7328 Bracket Assembly using the hex head bolts. Refer to Image1.3.1.
5. Re-install the improved latch assembly to the frame using the existing screws.
Note: These screws will be used to adjust the latch for proper hood height and fit up. Refer to Image1.2.1.
6. Re-install the cable assembly to the latch. Refer to Image1.1.1.
7. Install the new 417-4242 Spring. Refer to Image1.7.1.
