Incorrect Gas Pressure
Use a pressure gauge to observe the fuel pressure supplied to the engine regulator. Also, check the fuel differential pressure that is supplied to the carburetor.A turbocharged engine (low-pressure gas) a supply pressure of 24 kPa to 35 kPa (3.5 psi to 5 psi) is required for the gas pressure regulator.For low-pressure gas fuel systems, the maximum fluctuation that is allowed in the supply gas pressure to the engine is 1.7 kPa ( 0.25 psi).If the fuel pressure is not within the acceptable range, adjust the gas pressure regulator to achieve the correct pressure.If the pressure fluctuates between no load and full load by more than the specification, examine the diameter of the piping, fittings, and valves. Also, look for restrictions in the piping. The restrictions may be the cause of the pressure fluctuations.After correcting the problem, verify that the emissions are within specifications.Faulty Gas Pressure Regulator
If the gas pressure regulator cannot be adjusted to the correct setting, repair the regulator or replace the regulator that controls the gas supply.
