(2) Remove plate (3) and panel (4). Install 6G1405 Instrument Panel (5) and 4D6983 Plate (6). Install former scraper engine stop switch (7) and transmission sync. light (8). Install 8D2676 Neutral Run Switch (9). (3) Disconnect and remove wiring harness (10) from the machine. Install 6G1353 Harness Assembly (11) where harness (10) was removed. Do not connect harness (11) to transmission switch (12) at this time. Connect 6G2484 Harness Assembly (13) to harness (11) at the front of the operator's compartment and make the connections that follow: black wires (14) to a good electrical ground; red and white wire (15) to the red and white wire on the instrument wiring harness; dark blue and white wire (16) and black wire (17) to transmission sync. light (8); dark green and white wire (19) to the number "3" terminal and black wires (17) and (20) to the number "2" terminal on neutral run switch (9). Install a 3K8782 Fuse in the scraper transmission position on the fuse block. (4) Remove cover (21) and disconnect wiring harness (22) from transmission switch (23). Remove harness (22) from cover (21) and remove switch (23). Measure the thickness of plate (24); if it is not .84" (21.3) thick, remove the plate and the gasket from the transmission. (5) Install 9G7885 Adapter (25) where the former switch was removed. If the former plate was not .84" (21.3) thick, install 8S5575 Seal (26) in 8P7613 Plate Assembly (27). Put plate (27) and a 1P9650 Gasket in position on the transmission case. Pin (28) in plate (27) must be in alignment with the hole in the transmission case. (6) Install four 8P8764 Spacers (29), 2M4453 Seals (30), 1T738 Washers (31) and 2B2694 Bolts (32) in 9G1812 Switch Assembly (33) as shown. Install switch (33) on adapter (25) and in alignment with the pin on plate (27). Tighten bolts (32). Install 8P8814 Harness Assembly (34) with 5B3718 Seal (35) in cover (21). Connect harness (34) to switch (33) and install cover (21). Connect harness (11) to cover (21). Use 3P1388 Wire for lock wire as needed to fasten all the harness connections, to prevent loose connectors caused by vibration.6G6894
(1) Drain the fuel from fuel tank (1). Fill the tank with CO2. Disconnect back-up alarm wire (2) from the scraper wiring harness. Remove back-up alarm (3) from bracket (4). Use an Arcair torch or similar tool to remove bracket (4) from the fuel tank; grind the area smooth. CAUTION: Do not burn through the side of the fuel tank. (2) Fasten 8D487 Blocks (5) to 7G144 Control Group (6) with four T65 Bolts (7). Put control group (6) in position on the fuel tank as shown. Tack weld blocks (5) to the fuel tank. Remove control group (6). Make 1.0" (25.0) long .20" (5.0) fillet welds .90" (23.0) apart along each side of blocks (5). Tack weld 6G1368 Plate (8) in position and make 1.0" (25.4) long .12" (3.0) fillet welds 2.56" (65.0)
