When submitting claim for Parts Stock Action, Use the appropriate 99Z as the s/n, the appropriate Service Letter Program Number as the Part number in the Part Causing Failure field, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Description Code.

This Revised Service Letter replaces the 11Nov2011 Service Letter. Changes have been made to the Title and Action Required.

PROBLEM
Engine harnesses are rubbing against other components and wearing at the mounting locations. The current engine harness can be difficult to troubleshoot and repair due to large size/number of conductors. The current engine harnesses also can fail at the kinks in the internal wires from the factory splice connections. The current connector clip design is not robust enough for mining applications. The ladder clips do not adequately support the harness. Current ECM's and connectors at the ECM can be damaged during power washing.
ACTION REQUIRED
Rework the following low altitude engines in dealer parts stock and/or dealer exchange inventory:
136-3200, 186-4197, 209-5259, 213-6600 Service Replacement 3524B Engines with a 3TN prefix.
Rework the following low altitude engines 3TN00374-00958:
10R-1029, 10R-1032, 10R-1433, and 10R-1436 Service Replacement 3524B Engines with a NPM prefix.
Rework the following low altitude engines NPM00101-00343:
0R-8658, 0R-8668 Service Replacement 3524B Engines with a CND prefix.
Rework the following low altitude engines CND00200-00438.
Replace the current low altitude engine harness with a newly designed engine harness. Refer to REHS4742, Special Instructions, "Installation of the Engine Wiring Harnesses on 797 and 797B Off-Highway Trucks" and REHS4748, Special Instructions, "Installation of the New Oil Level Sensors for the Engine and Torque Converter Sumps on 797 and 797B Off-Highway Trucks", for the installation instructions.

Submit one claim for all engines that are reworked while in dealer parts stock and/or dealer exchange inventory.The parts listed in the Parts Needed in the Action Required will be allowed for each engine that is reworked.50 hours labor will be allowed for each engine that is reworked.Include the engine serial numbers and arrangement numbers in theservice claim.

Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
