During assembly, front and rear faces of front plate, the rear face of the housing and the front face of the cylinder block must be free of oil, fuel, water, dirt, assembly compounds, and any other contaminants.
1 8 5P-4255 Locking Bolt Use the following procedure in order to tighten the bolts :
Tighten bolt to 55 10 N m (41 7lb ft).
Again, tighten bolt to 55 10 N m (41 7lb ft).
2 1 155-9524 Integral Seal After assembly, trim the gasket and flush the gasket with the face of the housing.
3 1 166-9144 Gasket
4 - - Apply ultra blue Loctite 587 in order to fill the space at the connecting joint of the front plate, oil pan gasket, and cylinder block.
5 - - Apply ultra blue Loctite 587 to bottom of seal joint immediately prior to seal installation.
