Loosen two nuts (5) on threaded rod (6) in order to release the tension on V-belt (4) .

Loosen bolt (8) that secures the bottom of alternator (3). Remove the bolt and nut (7) from the top of alternator (3). Remove bolt (9) and remove guard assembly (10). Replace bolt (9) .
Remove V-belt (4) from alternator (3) .

Reposition boot (11). Remove bolt (12) from alternator (3). Disconnect wire assembly (13) from alternator (3) .

Remove bolt (16) from alternator (3) and disconnect wire assembly (15). Disconnect wire assembly (14) from alternator (3) .

Remove bolt (17) .

Remove bolt (8) and remove bolt (9). Remove alternator (3) from the machine.Installation Procedure

Position alternator (3) to the machine. Install bolt (8) and bolt (9) .

Install bolt (17) .

Connect wire assembly (14) to the alternator (3). Position wire assembly (15) and install bolt (16) onto alternator (3) .

Position wire assembly (13) to the alternator (3) and install bolt (12). Reposition boot (11) .

Position V-belt (4) onto alternator (3). Remove bolt (9) and install guard assembly (10). Replace bolt (9). Install the bolt and nut (7) onto the top of alternator (3) .

Tighten two nuts (5) on threaded rod (6) in order to put tension on V-belt (4). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Belt - Inpect/Adjust/Replace".

Install air filter (2) .
