Fast Travel Function component connectionsNote: The Fast Travel function is not available on the M318D MH, M322D or M322D MH model machines.Machines that are equipped with the Fast Travel Function will have a Travel Motor Bypass Solenoid and a Machine Pitch Sensor installed.The Fast Travel Function allows the Machine ECM to control the maximum travel speed of the machine when the machine is on an incline. The ECM will control the maximum speed of the machine when traveling in the forward direction or the reverse direction.In addition, the ECM will control the rate of acceleration when travel is initiated in order to avoid harsh initial travel movement. The ECM will use the Travel Motor Bypass Solenoid to control the initial acceleration.When the Travel Motor Bypass Solenoid is energized, an amount of hydraulic oil flow is allowed to bypass the travel motor. The amount of oil allowed to bypass the travel motor is determined by the electrical current that is sent to the solenoid. This results in a "softer" initial start of travel. The ECM adjusts the output signal to the Travel Motor Swash Plate Angle Limit Solenoid to control the maximum speed of the machine on the incline or the decline.
