Drain the coolant from the radiator. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change". The capacity of the cooling system is approximately 500 L (132 US gal).

Remove four bolts (2), two plates (3), four clips (4), the nuts and the washers that secure hand rail (1) to the other hand rails.

Remove eight bolts (6) and the washers from cover (5). Attach Tooling (A) (not shown) to cover (5). Attach a lifting device and a hoist to Tooling (A). Remove cover (5) from the engine enclosure. Cover (5) weighs approximately 90 kg (198 lb).

Remove ten bolts (7) and the washers that secure panel (8). Use two people to remove panel (8) from the left side of the engine enclosure. Panel (8) weighs approximately 27 kg (60 lb).

Remove four bolts (9) and the washers that secure panel (10). Use two people to remove panel (10) from the right side of the engine enclosure. Panel (10) weighs approximately 25 kg (55 lb).

Remove four bolts (11) and the washers that secure elbow (12). Tie elbow (12) away from the radiator.
Remove four bolts (13) and the washers that secure elbow (14). Tie elbow (14) away from the radiator.

Disconnect electrical connectors (15) and (16) from the sensors in the top tank of the radiator. Cut tie straps (17) that secure the wiring harness along the back of top tank (18) and over the top right edge of top tank (18) .

Attach Tooling (A) to top tank (18). Attach a suitable lifting device and a hoist to Tooling (A) .

Remove ten bolts (19) that secure the back edge of top tank (18) to the radiator assembly.

Remove the 18 bolts (20) that secure the front edge of top tank (18) to the radiator assembly. Remove the top tank (18). Top tank (18) weighs approximately 112 kg (250 lb).

Remove two bolts (21) from the core.

Remove seal (22) from the top of core (23) .
Use two people to remove core (23) from the radiator assembly. Core (23) weighs approximately 27 kg (60 lb).
Remove seal (22) (not shown) from the bottom of core (23) .
