Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the engine side guards.

Remove clamp (2) and exhaust pipe (1).

Remove clamp (4) and precleaner assembly (3).

Remove hose clamps (5) and hose (6).

Remove clamps (9), (11), and duct (10).
Remove bolt (7) and disconnect harness assembly (8).

Remove pin (13) and pin (12). Repeat Step 6 for the opposite side of the hood.

Remove bolts (14) and cover (15).

Remove bolt (16).

Remove bolts (17) and handhold (18). Repeat for the opposite side.

Attach a suitable lifting device to hood assembly (19). The weight of hood assembly (19) is approximately 68 kg (150 lb).
Remove hood assembly (19).Installation Procedure
Install hood assembly (19) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten bolt (7) to a torque of 10 2 N m (89 18 lb in).
Tighten hose clamps (5) to a torque of 4.5 0.7 N m (40 6 lb in).
Tighten clamp (4) to a torque of 6.2 N m (55 lb in) to 7.3 N m (65 lb in).
Position clamp (2) in front of the pipe slot. Add grease between clamp (2) and exhaust pipe (1) before tightening clamp (2). Tighten clamp (2) to a torque of 67 3 N m (49 2 lb ft).
