Reassembly, as a rule, is made in the reversed order of disassembly.Preparation
Prepare a workbench, tools, and supplies in the same way as for disassembly.General Precautions
1. Use the same precautions as the general disassembly precautions.2. Check prior to reassembly to ensure that all parts are free from metal particles, foreign matter, burs or scratches. Remove any burs or scratches with an oilstone.3. As a rule, renew O-rings.4. Use care when fitting O-rings to prevent damage. (Apply a small amount of engine oil to make them smooth.)Reassembly Procedure
1. Press fit bushing (4) into roller (8) using a press fitter I and a press.
For press fitting, axially align bushing (4) and roller (8) to prevent damage.
2. Apply a coat of engine oil to O-ring in floating seal (3), and install floating seal (3) to roller (8) using a seal press fitter. 3. Apply a coat of engine oil to O-ring in floating seal (3), and install floating seal (3) to collar (2). 4. Insert shaft (6) into roller (8).5. Apply a coat of engine oil to O-ring (5), and install O-ring (5) to shaft (6). 6. Apply a coat of engine oil to floating seal (3). Dry the mating surface of floating seal (3) after removing grease with solvent, and apply a coat of engine oil onto the mating surface. 7. Insert collar (2) into shaft (6), and install the track roller in a press. 8. Apply pressure on collar (2) with a press, install snapring (1) to shaft (6), and insert other side collar (2) to shaft (6), then install to roller (8). 9. Check for air leakage from the track roller by applying air pressure into the track roller through oil inlet hole. Check the track roller air tightness by applying 2.5 to 2.7 kgf/cm2 (35.5 to 38.4 psi) air pressure for 30 seconds or longer and confirm that the pressure gauge of air pressurizer does not show any change in pressure. 10. Fill the track roller with engine oil. Engine oil required: 0.17 to 0.19 liter (0.045 to 0.050 U.S. gal) 11. Apply LOCTITE #572 to tapered plug (9) and tighten tapered plug (9) to shaft (6).
