Information:
1. Lower the blade to the ground. Put identification on the oil lines as to their location on the cylinder. Remove oil lines (2).2. Remove the bolts, the cap and the inserts from the ballstud. Fasten a hoist to the cylinder.3. Remove four bolts (1) that hold the caps to the blade lift arm. Remove blade lift cylinder (3). Weight is 125 lb. (57 kg). 4. Remove caps (5) from the cylinder. Remove seals (6) and bearings (4) from the caps.5. Do Steps 1 through 4 for the other cylinder. See DISASSEMBLE AND ASSEMBLE HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS. Install Blade Lift Cylinders
1. Install the bearings in caps (1) with tooling (A) and a press.
Tooling (A) and a press must be used to prevent damage to the bearings.
2. Install a seal in the caps with tooling (B). Install the seals with the lip toward the inside of the cap. Install caps (1) on the cylinder. 3. Fasten a hoist to the cylinder. Put cylinder (2) in position on the machine. Install the insert between the cylinder rod and the ballstud. Install the insert and the cap on the ballstud. Install the bolts and the lockwashers that hold the cap to the cylinder rod.4. Install the four bolts that hold caps (1) to the blade lift arm. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 95 5 lb.ft. (128.8 6.8 N m).5. Connect oil lines (3) to their correct locations on the cylinder.6. Do Steps 1 through 5 for the other cylinder.
