Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the Fan. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fan and Fan Drive - Remove". The information is in this manual.

The radiator has been removed for photographic purposes.
Loosen bolt (1) and bolt (2) . Tilt alternator (3) toward the engine. Remove two V-belts (4) from drive pulley (5) .

Remove bolt (6) and the washer from bracket (7) . Loosen bolt (8) and tilt the refrigerant compressor toward the engine. Remove V-belt (9) from drive pulley (10) .

The radiator has been removed for photographic purposes.
Loosen bolt (11) and bolt (12) . Tilt idler pulley (13) upward and remove V-belt (14) from idler pulley (13) .Installation Procedure
Check the condition of the V-belts. If any V-belts are worn or damaged, use a new part or a new set for replacement.

Install V-belt (14) to idler pulley (13) . Adjust V-belt (14) . Tighten bolt (12) and bolt (11) . Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Fan, Alternator and Water Pump Belts - Inspect - Adjust - Replace" for adjustment of the V-belt.

Install V-belt (9) to drive pulley (10) . Adjust V-belt (9) and tighten bolt (8) . Install bolt (6) and the washer to bracket (7) . Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Air Conditioner - Test Operation - Adjust Belt" for adjustment of the V-belt .

Install two V-belts (4) to drive pulley (5) on alternator (3) . Adjust V-belt (4) . Tighten bolt (2) and bolt (1) . Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Fan, Alternator and Water Pump Belts - Inspect - Adjust - Replace" for the adjustment of the V-belts .End By: Install the Fan.
