Ensure that the welds on 510-1716 plate assemblies (A) and 510-1717 plate assemblies (B) do not interfere with the bolted joint surface as shown in Illustration 3.Note: Remove any weld that interferes with the bolted joint surface.

Replace former 8T-0668 bolts with new 244-6356 bolts (1).
Prior to installation of bolts (1), apply Loctite 243 (Medium Strength) to the threads.
Revise the former special high torque value of 1000 N m (737 lb ft) to new torque value of 375 40 N m (276 29 lb ft). Also turn each bolt (1) to an additional 120 10 degrees.
