1. Remove the 317-3483 Guard (change 00), or the 296-3854 Guard, and the 289-6145 Cover Group. Refer to Image1.2.1 and the disassembly and assembly manual, for your machine, for additional information.

2. Cut the 351-2208 Wiper Harness. Refer to Image1.3.1.
Note: Ensure that no damage is done to the wiper water line.

3. Disconnect and remove the wiper harness from the cab door. Refer to Image1.4.1.

4. Add a 230-5008 Plug with four 126-1766 Sockets to the 206-7302 Platform Harness Branch. Refer to Image1.5.1.
5. Install the new 361-2882 Harness and connect it to the platform harness and to the wiper motor.
6. Make a large loop at the door hinge point and attach the wiper harness to the wiper lines with the 251-4515 Bulk Conduit (2DM) and 3S-2093 Straps. Refer to Image1.5.2.

7. Install the new 317-3483 Guard (change 01) in replacement of the 317-3483 (change 00), or the 296-3854 Guard. Refer to Image1.6.1. For the machines that were using the 296-3854 Guard (DHA00207-01083 and FBH00329-01411), the cab bolt pattern is a little bit different, so you must adapt the new 317-3483 Guard (change 01) to the cab bolt pattern in transforming few holes in slots.
Note: The harness, do not attach it to the guards at the door hinge point.
8. Check the kinematic and ensure that the harness is not stretched too much and bent.
9. Reassemble the 289-6145 Cover Group.

1. Use two new 314-5994 and 314-5995 Jumper Harnesses for repairing the machine.
It is recommended that the right and left wiper harnesses are repaired at the same time.
This Rework Procedure explains how to repair the left side. There is only one additional operation for repairing the right side. This additional operation is explained at the end of the Rework Procedure.

3. Install the new 314-5995 Wiper Harnesses. Connect it to the wiper motor and to the platform harness.
4. Make a large loop at the door hinge point and attach the wiper harness to the wiper lines with the 251-4515 Bulk Conduit (2DM) / 3S-2093 Straps. The electrical receptacle must be attached to the link. Refer to Image2.4.1 (with 7K-1181 Strap).
5. Install the new 317-3483 Guard (change 01). For the machines that were using the 296-3854 Guard, the cab bolt pattern is a little bit different, so you must adapt the new 317-3483 Guard (change 01) to the cab bolt pattern in transforming few holes in slots.
Finally check the kinematic and ensure that the harness is not stretched too much and bent.

Additional operation for the right side:
The link that holds the harness on the rear guard has been welded too much on the outside. This fixation point of the harness must be relocated as described in Image2.5.1.
6. Make two holes in the rear guard and attach it the electrical receptacle with a 7K-1181 Strap.
