Disassemble Procedure
Start By:
Remove the water temperature control valve.

Remove bolts (2) and remove cover (1).
Disconnect harness assembly (3).

Remove bolts (4) and the washers.
Remove motor (5) from housing (6).
Remove four bolts (7) to remove housing (6).
Remove the gasket.

Inspect and check the alignment of drive pin (8) in housing (6). Drive pin (8) is pressed into the end of the lead screw for the valve. Drive pin (8) must be centered across the shaft of the end screw.

Remove bolts (9) and the washers.
Remove control module (10) from motor mount assembly (11) and the valve body.

Remove bolts (12) from motor mount assembly (11).
Pull motor mount assembly (11) from the valve body. The piston in the valve body will be repositioned. Pull motor mount assembly (11) from the valve until enough of lead screw (14) becomes exposed to turn lead screw (14) by hand.
Remove lead screw (14) from the valve piston by rotating lead screw (14) in the counterclockwise direction (A).
Remove O-ring seal (13) from the valve body.

Remove bolts (15) and flange adapter (16).

Remove O-ring seal (17).
Use Tooling (A) to tap the inside of bushing (18). Thread Tooling (B) into bushing (18) and pull bushing (18) out of flange adapter (16).
